Joe Berge immersed himself in the industries of custom bathtub jetting and personal steam generators almost 40 years ago when he started working at Leisure Steam. First, he navigated the learning curve of the industry and business world for over a decade, and then he launched his own company. What was originally called Tub Buffers Jetting, was rebranded and grown into the industry-leading Hydro Dimensions of today. As the custom jetting industry started declining in 1999, Joe Berge reignited his business by adapting to the changing market and developing an industry-leading walk-in tub. He met a partner to develop the new walk-in tub, which was a huge gap in the market since only one existed in the USA with disappointing functionality. As an industry pioneer and innovator, these were the perfect ingredients for his next recipe for success!
TheCanConverter was invented by virtue of solving a problem. Joe Berge and his wife Stacey purchased a new home in 2000, and like most new homeowners they started fixing it up. One issue they encountered was the can light in the front entry, and after doing some research, they committed to developing a solution. That inspired them to come up with “The Can Converter” under JSB Enterprises. With yet another impressive innovation, Joe Berge now holds patents on three different converter kits, models: R1, R4 and R56; and were Retailers Choice Award winner in 2012. The R56 model has even appeared on multiple TV shows!
In 2014, Stacey and Joe Berge took an opportunity to acquire Leisure Steam, the company where he had started his career. With Joe’s entrepreneurial mindset, it would have been highly uncharacteristic to leave the company untouched. So, in addition to devoting to continue serving the company’s existing market and customers, Joe Berge’s vision and innovation led to redeveloping the product and branching out to new markets that utilize steam such as the vintners and brewery industry.
Joe Berge manages and operates JSB Enterprises with his wife Stacey out of Temecula, CA. A true family man, he and his wife fostered an environment of support for their children’s own ambitions, while also creating a strong and resilient company where their kids could gain invaluable business experience and technical knowledge. All 3 children have worked with the family businesses at some point. Stacey and Joe Berge’s eldest son has worked for the company full time for over a decade and now manages operations for all brands. Their daughter pursued a career in cosmetology before returning to the family business. Their youngest son competed for several years in high levels of motocross racing, including the prestigious Loretta Lynns Amateur Motocross Nationals. After deciding it was not his career choice, he joined the family business while continuing to pursue his own career goals. Joe Berge enjoys the additional environment to spend time with family.
